Helping Survivors of the Earthquake in Haiti

As reports surface that the death toll in Haiti has reached 50,000 so far, Haitian Interior Minister Paul Antoine Bien-Aime has said that the number of deaths could be as high as 200,000. The images of those trapped in the rubble have been heart-wrenching, and it seems unlikely there will be many more survivors now that the critical 72-hour time span has passed. Canadians have been making online donations online to help survivors of the earthquake in Haiti to organizations such as the Canadian Red Cross and World Vision Canada.
